After returning to Illinois, she taught first grade, Head Start, and remedial reading until she retired in 1982. Betty had a love for gardening and floral arranging and was a certified floral judge for garden club shows.
A celebration of Betty’s inspiring life journey with the many people who were blessed to walk with her in her path will be held at a later date when people can again join together safely. Charitable donations would be a suitable memorial in lieu of flowers.
