Danny “Froggy” Throgmorton ~Makanda September 29, 2018

MAKANDA — Danny “Froggy” Throgmorton, 60, passed away unexpectedly at home Saturday evening, Sept. 29, 2018, in Makanda, with his wife by his side.

Danny was born Sept. 12, 1958, in Carbondale, son to the late Noel Jr. and Bonnie (Nance) Throgmorton.

He was united in marriage to Donna S. Smith-Throgmorton on March 14, 1997, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Together, they and their blended family shared more than 21 years of marriage, laughter and friendship.

Danny and Donna continued on operating the family business Larry’s Towing, loved travelling, but above all else, they love their children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Dustin and his wife Shannon, Daniel and his girlfriend Elizabeth; daughter, Ashley and her husband, Darren; grandchildren, Jacob Noel, Nicolas Robert, Eva Graye, Elias Lee, Oliver Wayne, and a future grandson on the way.

He precedes many aunts, uncles, relatives and great friends. He was and is deeply loved and will be cherished by his family.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, in Murdale Baptist Church in Carbondale.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, in Murdale Baptist Church, with Pastor Paul Hicks officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Makanda.
