ZEIGLER — Patricia Lynn Steele, 52, passed away at 3:39 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, in Herrin Hospital.
She was born Aug. 30, 1962, in Chicago, to Harold and Margaret (Morgan) Hammonds.
She married Mark Steele on Oct. 11, 1980, in Christopher. Together they shared 33 years.
Survivors include husband, Mark Steele of Zeigler; brother, Chuck Hammonds of Mount Vernon; sister, Marlene Hammonds of Chicago; many nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Kathy Hayes of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Margaret Hammonds.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
Walker Funeral Home and Crematory of Carbondale in charge of arrangements.
