Robert “Bob” Lee Lawrence March 17, 2015

Robert “Bob” Lee Lawrence, 61, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015, in St. Louis.

Bob was born Aug. 17, 1953, in Anna, to Randall L. Lawrence and Mary E. (Sadler) Lawrence.

He married Linda Gee on March 4, 1978, in the Presbyterian Church of Carbondale and together they shared 37 years.

Bob served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.

He was a millwright with the Carpenter’s local union 638 of Marion.

He attended SIU.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Elizabeth Lawrence of Anna and Samantha Lawrence (Joshua) Sheffield of New Brighton, Pennsylvania; son, Adam H. (Nikki) Lawrence of Rosiclare; seven grandchildren, Joshua Sheffield Jr., Jeriah Sheffield, Jair Sheffield, Sarai Sheffield, Ruby Lawrence, Addie Lawrence and Chale Lawrence; and brothers, Randall L. (Danon) Lawrence III of Florida and Steven Lawrence of Cobden.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, in Cobden Cemetery, with Pastor Gilbert Gee officiating.
