Sanford Friduss, 83, passed away peacefully Monday, October 22, 2018 at his residence in Carbondale.
Sandy was born May 19, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois; the son of the late Dr. Mandel and Ruth (Joffee) Friduss.
Sandy found great joy in his work at Hickory Ridge Golf Course, which in small part came from his love of spending time outside and taking in the sunshine; but in large part from the special relationships he built with his friends and co-workers at Hickory Ridge Golf Course.
The greatest joy in Sandy’s life was his family. He is survived by his daughters; Jodi and husband Ken Warrick; Elyse and husband Mark Weller; and Marla Mallette; as well as his grandchildren; Brooke Hiller; Kasey Mallette; James Warrick; and Alex Hiller.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Anad Salem and his entire staff for the exceptional care, warmth, compassion, and friendship they consistently provided to him throughout the past 15 years. The family also wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to all the staff at Prairie Living; in the short time he lived there, they instantly made him feel at home and treated him with exceptional care.
Sandy was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Mandel and Ruth Friduss; brother Dr. Arthur and wife Goldie Friduss.
A private memorial service will be held for family per his wishes.
