Jay D. Lambert, 52 of Marion IL, passed away at his residence on Friday, May 19, 2023 at his residence.
Jay was born May 20, 1970 in Red Bud, Illinois, the son of Philip and Linda (Gaither) Lambert.
Jay and his soulmate Julie finally married on May 19, 2017 after 12 years together. They shared six wonderful years of marriage.
Jay was as genuine as they come. He enjoyed life to the fullest. His favorite thing to do was listening to good music and drinking a cold beer. What Jay loved more than good music and a cold beer was his beloved dogs Brody, Mia, Finley, Milo, and three who preceded him in death, Laila, Parker and Coco.
In any job that Jay worked, he left a lasting impression gaining many friends over the years. For the last 10 years, Jay worked at Schwan’s and on his route he was beloved by his customers and even more so by their dogs.
He is survived by his wife Julie Lambert of Marion, daughter Laney Lambert, parents Philip and Linda Lambert of West Frankfort, and many family and friends.
Jay was preceded in death by his son Kayden Lambert, Grandma Mary Gaither, Father In Law Ralph Pickett, Grandparents J. D. & Ruth Lambert, Grandma In Law Viola Pickett.
Jay’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be no services at this time.

May 24, 2023 at 4:14 pmI never met Jay in person, but he felt like a brother to me. Knowing him for decades online in our frequent music and sports discussions, and just life in general, I have long felt a kinship with him. He gave me so many laughs over the years with his own special brand of offbeat humor, the back and forth bull sessions were priceless, especially when life made it harder to laugh. He could find humor in everything. and even in major disagreements would leave people laughing. I wish I would have met him in person and spent some time hanging out, but I know the wealth of his wit and the many memorable quotes I have filed away in my brain will stay with me, and somehow he will always be around making people laugh.

May 24, 2023 at 6:02 pmI’m saddened to hear of Jay’s passing and my prayers are with his wife and loved ones. Jay has brought laughter to so many and was a friend through his social media character. His quick wit and comedic genius was something I personally looked forward too and enjoyed. He is missed by our group and has left life long happy memories to so many.

August 14, 2024 at 9:12 pmHi there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any problems with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing many months of hard work due to no data backup. Do you have any methods to protect against hackers?
