Visitation will be held on April 6, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale services beginning at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jim Barnett officiating.
Sean Evan Phillips, 41, of Grass Valley California passed away on February 11, 2024.
Sean was born March 15, 1982, in Carbondale, Illinois, to Jerry and Allison (Fite) Phillips.
Sean graduated from Carbondale Community High School in 2000. For the last 15 years he had resided in California. He was self-employed for many years. He recently returned to school to pursue a career in Cyber Security. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Carbondale. Sean loved the outdoors and skiing.
Sean is survived by his parents; Jerry and Allison Phillips of Carbondale; brother; Kyle (Ginger) of Fetus, Missouri; aunts; Pamela (John) Bennett of Hendersonville, North Carolina; Susan (Steve) Daron of Carterville, Illinois; Cousin; Natalie (Chuck) Walker of Herrin, Illinois, Randy (Lynda) Hilliard of Marion, Illinois; Rick (Lisa) Hilliard of Marion, Illinois; Robin (Frankie) Beach of Mariette, Georgia; Jackie (Mark) Hobbs of Oran, Missouri and many other relatives and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; John Henry and Blonn Phillips, Marion and Ina Fite; one Uncle Jim Phillips and aunts; Dolores Page and Joyce Stanley.
Sean will be remembered for his love of family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.
