It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Thomas Lee Monroe who passed away on July 13th, 2024 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Tom was born in Carbondale, Illinois October 17, 1935, the son of the late Thomas Cleveland and Esther (Starling) Monroe.
He married Delorse Jolly on November 16, 1957, in Carbondale. They shared over 57 years of marriage till her passing on February 23, 2014.
Tom is survived by his sons; Kim Lee and wife Donna Monroe and Thomas L. Monroe; four grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Cleveland and Esther Monroe, and his loving wife Delorse Monroe, and his two daughters Debra Jane and Michele Leigh.
Graveside services will be held Monday, July 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at McKinney Hill Cemetery, with Brother Gary Darnell officiating.
