CARBONDALE — Amar Philippe, 5, passed away Monday, Aug. 13, 2018, in Carbondale, due to a traffic accident.
Amar was born Aug. 3, 2013, the son of Theo Gilmore and Apryl S. Philippe.
Services will be Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Rockhill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sidney Logwood officiating. Visitation will be prior, from noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale.
Survivors include his mother, Apryl Philippe; father, Theo Gilmore; brothers, Alden, Jalen and Xaiden Philippe; sisters, Angel Philippe and Natayla Gilmore; grandmothers, Pam Gilmore and Christine Philippe; Aunts, Sharece Johnson, Stephanie Hershey and Brandy Philippe; uncles, Anthony Hershey and Preston Philippe; and so many more loving family and friends.
Amar is preceded in death by his grandfather, Duane Philippe; family friend, Kaileigh Ralph; and his great-grandparents.
In honor of Mar’s Love, everyone who knows him keeps his unconditional love alive by giving love. He loved everyone and everything, including animals, puppies, and even snakes. Amar had a spark that could eliminate any dark day. He was so special in many ways, he prayed every night with his mother, thanking God for each day.
