Charles Barry Wyatt ~ Carbondale January 12, 1953 - May 9, 2024

It is with great sorrow that we mourn the loss of Charles Barry Wyatt, 71, who passed away at his residence with his family by his side on May 9, 2024.
He was born on January 12, 1953 in Macomb, Illinois to the late Charles Britton and Erma Lorraine (Davis) Wyatt.

He married Karen R. Shankland on November 5, 1983 they shared over 40 years of marriage.

Charles is survived by his wife; Karen Wyatt of Carbondale; children; Erik Berrey of Carbondale, Amanda (Kyle) Carr of Hoover, Alabama; grandson; Uriah Carr of Hoover, Alabama; brothers and sisters; Rodney Wyatt; Sandy Roberts; Ross Wyatt; and many other dear relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Erma Wyatt.

A private burial will be held at a later date at Shiloh Cemetery.

Walker Funeral Home and Crematory of Southern Illinois entrusted with arrangements.

    I worked closely with Barry for a few years at SIUC. He was a great man and I wish I would have stayed in contact with him. Condolences to the family.
