It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Donald Joseph Zieba on Sunday September 18, 2022 at his home in Perryville, Missouri surrounded by his loving family.

Don was born June 12, 1936 in Farmington, Missouri, the son of the late Frank and Alma (Cleve) Zieba.

Don worked as a Civil Engineer for the Illinois Department of Transportation until his retirement. In his spare time, he loved the lake life from water skiing in his younger days to tubing later in life. He was a member of the Carbondale Elks; DeSoto Lions; DeSoto School Board and Boy Scouts.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Barbara McCoullough Zieba of Perryville, Missouri; children; Greg Zieba of Nashville, Tennessee; Andy and Jennifer Zieba of DeSoto, Illinois; grandchildren; Madalyn Zieba of Carbondale and Molly Zieba of Nashville, Tennessee; step grandson Dusty and wife Mallori Young; great grandchildren; Micah, Raelyn, Ryah, Reagan Watson; Miley Chancey; Mila Webb; Maggie Zieba; McCoy Young; Maci Harmon; and a host of friends and relatives.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; Frank and Alma Zieba; brother and sister-in-law Jim and Margaret Zieba; brother-in- law Wayne McCullough and his beloved dog Mazey.

Visitation will be Thursday September 22, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale. Services will be Friday September 23, 2022 with Military Honors at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Desoto with Paul Copeland officiating.

Walker Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.

Visitation will be Thursday September 22, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale. Services will be Friday September 23, 2022 with Military Honors at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Desoto with Paul Copeland officiating.

    Sorry I could not attend his visitation. You took such good care of him. Now take care of yourself.
