Ethel June Watson, 94, passed away peacefully August 8, 2019, in Carbondale.
Ethel was born March 19, 1925, in Carbondale the daughter of the late Chester Arthur and Mary Elizabeth (Brandon) Tomlinson.
She was united in marriage to Gordon L. Watson August 10, 1941 in Carbondale. They shared over 48 years of marriage.
Ethel is survived by her daughters; Marlene (Tom) Palmer; Charlotte Holliday; grandchildren Randy (Stacy) Holliday; Theodore (Nicole) Mueller; Andy (Alyssa)Mueller; Amy Nolan; Laura (Jeremy) Lake; great grandchildren; Jake (Harmony) Holliday; Shelby (Nicole) Holliday; Isabell Mueller; Elise Mueller; Saylor Mueller; Mara Nolan; Kira Nolan; Rece Nolan; Aubrey Lake; Will Lake; great great grandchildren; Trystyn Holliday; Ada Holliday and many nieces nephews and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Chester and Mary Tomlinson; husband Gordon L. Watson; son in law Bruce Holliday; grandson Keith Holliday; cousins; Beulah Guard; Vaudra Rushing; Jerry Travelstead; sisters; Ruby and Thelma and Velma.
Services will be at noon Saturday August 10, 2019, at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale with Reverend Annabell officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale. Visitation will be prior from 10-12 noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois 204 Halfway Road Marion, Illinois 62959 or to The American Heart Association Midwest Affiliate 3816 Paysphere Circle Chicago, Illinois 60674.
