Gerald Rosenberger, 95, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Manor Court in Carbondale, Illinois. Graveside services will be held at Tower Grove Cemetery in Murphysboro, Illinois on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 10 a.m. with Pastors Larry Gilbert and Preston Foster officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jackson County Farm Bureau Young Farmers.
Gerald was born on April 17, 1927 to Roy and Dillie (Bechtloft) Rosenberger at home in Murphysboro, Illinois. He married Imogene Elliott on April 15, 1950 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vergennes, IL.
Gerald was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Vergennes and served for several decades as a member of the Jackson County Farm Bureau Board and was a lifelong farmer. He also served for many years as the Trustee and Supervisor of Vergennes Township.
He is survived by two sons Terry (Patti) Rosenberger of Vergennes, Illinois and Ted Rosenberger of Everett, Washington. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Bryan Rosenberger, Steve Rosenberger, Michael Roy Rosenberger (Lucy) and Zari Rosenberger. He also is survived by two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene and his grandson Scott Rosenberger as well as his parents.
