Jennie Mae Crawshaw ~ Elkville October 7, 1933 - December 20, 2023

Jennie Mae Crawshaw, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 20, 2023.

Jennie was born on October 7, 1933, to Violet (Akers) and Glenn Cecil in Carbondale, IL.

Jennie married Lester “Ray” Crawshaw on November 23, 1951. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2019. They shared 68 years of marriage.

Jennie is survived by her son, Lonnie Crawshaw, and daughters Kathryn (Jimmy) Tuthill and Teresa Hughes; sister, Rachel Moore; grandchildren Marsha (Dusty) Doan, Jamie (Preston) Hicks, Jeremy Hubbs, Ryan (Desiree) Tuthill, Trisha Crawshaw, Jenna Hubbs; great-grandchildren Evan Hicks, Derrick Hicks, Dylan Hicks, Kaylin Calhoun, Eli Hicks and Jayden Hubbs; along with many nieces and nephews.
Jennie spent 30 years working in the Jackson County Circuit Clerk’s office, where she served as the Circuit Clerk for 9 years.

After retirement Jennie enjoyed fishing and flea markets with her husband, Ray. Jennie enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers. She mostly loved spending all of her spare time in the company of her family.

Visitation will be at Walkers Funeral Home in Carbondale on Friday, December 22, from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Minister Greg Pavloff officiating. Interment will immediately follow at DeSoto Cemetery, DeSoto, Illinois.
