It is with a very heavy heart that Kari Michelle Vaughn passed away on May 5, 2024 at her residence.
Kari was born in Herrin, Illinois on April 25, 1987, the daughter of William “Bill” and Stephanie (Toth) Vaughn.
She is survived by her daughter; Addilyn Smith; parents; Bill and Stephanie Vaughn; sister; Hillary Lewis; nieces; Maddie Lewis, Savannah Vaughn; aunts; Robyn Rice, Christy (Marion) Poggus, Debra Chapman, Carolyn Carol, Rebekah Sing and many other dear relatives and close friends.
Kari is preceded in death by her grandparents; A. B. and Mary Vaughn, Steve and Opal Toth; aunt Sharon Free.
As a mother, Kari was the epitome of love and selflessness. Her bond with her child was unbreakable, and her legacy as a nurturing and caring parent will endure for generations to come. She cherished every moment spent with her child, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
Tragically, Kari was called from this world far too soon, leaving behind Addilyn and her family who will forever carry her love in their heart. While we mourn her loss, we take solace in knowing that she is at peace and will continue to watch over her child and family from above.
