It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Mary Jane McLafferty who passed away on Wednesday February 21, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at her residence.
Mary Jane was born October 20, 1940 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the late William Burns and Maurine (Jones) Logan.
She is survived by her husband; James McLafferty; children; James Wesley Caldwell; Sharon Powell; step–children; Joan and Dean Davis; Mary and John Adams; James A. McLafferty; grandchildren; Ryan Clamp; Cami Liddle; Hunter Powell; James Robert Caldwell; Michael Caldwell; Heather Caldwell; Holly Krake; April Tondelli; Craig Davis; step grandchildren; Mallory McLafferty; Parker James; Brittney Spurgeon; Timothy K. Spurgeon; and many other great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Mary Jane is preceded in death by her parents, William and Maurine Logan; sister; Rose Logan Dye Williams; stepson Jeffrey Jakse.
Visitation will be Friday March 1, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale. Services will be at 12 noon with Pastor Paul Hicks officiating. Interment will be immediately following at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro, Illinois.
Walker Funeral Home of Carbondale is entrusted with arrangements.
