Patty Jean Burgess Dyck was born in LaSalle, Colorado on September 6, 1931. Her parents were George Burgess born in Kansas and Pauline Edith Nagel Burgess born in Nebraska. Patty was the 8th child of a family of 13 (one sister passing away in infancy)
Pat’s family: husband Norman Allen, three children, Ronald Allen of Texas, (Deborah, deceased), Vicki Lynne Pense (Seburn) of Carbondale, IL. LaVonne Irene Van Aalsburg (Dennis) of Moneta Virginia.11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Patty lived in Colorado until age 9, when the family moved to Southern California until 2012 when she and Norman moved to Carbondale IL. to be nearer to children and grandchildren, which was a blessing
In 1953 she met Norman through some mutual friends and they were married in Paramount California April 9, 1954, at the First Baptist Church. Pat received the Lord as her Personal Savior in 1953 and was baptized in the same church with Pastor Glenn Merrified performing both services.
Church and serving the Lord have always been a way of life for Pat and Norman. We are very proud of our family and their commitment to serving others, and their love they have for their families.
Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 11:00 am. Murdale Baptist Church, Carbondale Il. The family would like to invite everyone to a reception luncheon following the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Murdale Baptist Church- Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Ministry.
